A person has suffered burns to the face after a fire in the garage of a house.
Emergency services were called to Beechfields in Eccleston at around 1.35pm yesterday (December 11).
One person suffered smoke inhalation and burns to the face. Firefighters gave the the injured person oxygen therapy at the scene.
Three fire engines from Chorely and Penwortham were called to the scene and crews used breathing apparatus and two hose reels to battle the blaze.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Three fire engines from Chorley and Penwortham attended Beechfields in Eccleston.
“The fire involved a domestic garage attached to a detached domestic property. Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty suffered smoke inhalation and burns to the face and received oxygen therapy from firefighters.
“Crews remained at the scene for approximately one hour and 30 minutes.”
