Fire crews rushed to a house fire after a tumble dryer burst into flames last night.
At 7.40pm yesterday evening (December 10), two fire engines from St Annes and Preesall were called to a house fire on Dinmore Avenue in Blackpool.
On arrival, crews found a tumble drier to be well alight on the ground floor of the home.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured in the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 7.40pm on December 10, two fire engines from St Annes and Preesall attended a domestic building fire on Dinmore Avenue, Blackpool.
“Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
“Crews were in attendance for one hour and forty minutes.”
