A woman has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of fraud against her employer.
Jeanette Gennoe appeared at Preston Crown Court on Monday, December 4, where she denied 12 offences of fraud by abuse of position, and will stand trial in January 2025.
It is alleged that while working as a commercial sales executive for car dealership, Perry's, in Blackburn, Gennoe committed the acts of fraud.
The particulars of the offences are that while occupying her position in which she was expected to safeguard, or not to act against, the financial interests of Perry's, she allegedly dishonestly abused that position intending thereby to make a gain for herself.
The 12 offences are believed to have taken place between August 7, 2019, and February 14, 2020.
Gennoe, 56, of Chapel Street, Brinscall, Chorley, entered not guilty pleas and as a result will stand trial on January 14, 2025.
The trial is expected to last between three and four days.
Gennoe was released on unconditional bail until her next appearance in court for a pre-trial review on November 18, 2024.
