A man is to stand trial next year after denying assault, criminal damage and strangulation offences.
Karl Moore, 38, of Knowles Brow, Clitheroe, entered not guilty pleas to the offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage to property under £5,000, and intentional strangulation, when he appeared in the dock at Preston Crown Court on Monday (December 4).
The offences are all alleged to have taken place on May 14 against the same victim.
Defending Moore, Kristian Cavanagh said his client denied all the offences and said "the victim was being untruthful".
A trial date was set for December 16, 2024, and is expected to last between two and three days.
Moore was released on conditional bail and told not to enter Charles Road in Clitheroe.
He is next due to appear in court for a pre-trial review on October 21, 2024.
