The M6 has reopened in Lancashire following an overnight closure.
The motorway was closed in both directions between J29 (M65) and J30 (Bamber Bridge) due to police responding to a concern for welfare.
It came into effect at around 12.30am this morning (December 4) and re-opened at around 3.20am.
A police spokesperson said: "Earlier in the night we made you aware of a closure on the M6 in both directions between junction 30 and 31 due to a police incident.
"We can now confirm the motorway has re-opened."
Police said the issue was resolved without incident.
