An Italian wine bar and cafe has opened in Whalley recently, and promises 'exceptional evenings' for the local clientele in a 'truly unique venue'.

Giardino Segreto roughly translates to 'Secret Garden' in Italian, and has been opened by Phil Moss above his gym, PLM Health & Fitness, in Back King Street.

He said: "Giardino Segreto now open in beautiful Whalley!

"We are located above PLM Health & Fitness and entry is via the PLM main doors. Call in and relax with us today!"

The new venue is open Monday and Tuesday 9.30am to 4pm (with alcohol served from 12pm), and Wednesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 11pm, with a full menu from 12pm.

Punters have already been excited for the launch, commenting and sharing Phil's posts on Facebook and Instagram for the last three weeks of soft opening.

The wine bar is also looking to hire mixologists and bar staff to serve a range of drinks, who can also benefit from a free 24/7 gym membership.

It also serves a range of Italian cocktails such as Negroni, Bellini, Aperitivo Ritual, and Paloma Italiana.

The bar has also been generating a presence on Instagram, with more details about the menu and how to find the premises.
