A man dubbed the ‘litter-picking superman’ of Blackburn has donned the costume of another superhero for charity.
James Lee Newton, 40, decided he wanted to raise money for the prostate cancer charity and took on the ice-bucket challenge dressed as Spiderman.
He said: “It was fun doing it and hopefully we will raise more funds for a good cause.
“I have also tagged my friends on Facebook if they wish to do it by choice seen has its ‘Movember’ and create awareness for male prostate cancer.
“Anyone can donate to prostate cancer by texting directly to to 70004 on HELP either £3, £5, £10.”
James can be spotted on the streets of Blackburn picking up bags of rubbish.
In a recent clean-up he collected three bags of litter in the Higher Croft area.
He has been picking up litter for a number of years and heads out armed with rubbish sacks when he finds time between his work and family life.
