Train commuters have been warned to expect disruption this morning (November 20) as all lines are blocked between Blackburn and Clitheroe.
This is due to a signalling issue and “no signaller is on duty at this time”.
Train services running through these stations will be cancelled at Blackburn.
Ramsgreave, Wilpshire, Langho, Whalley and Clitheroe will not be served.
Rochdale to Clitheroe services are affected.
Headbolt Lane to Blackburn via Todmorden are not affected by this disruption
Colne to Preston are not affected by this disruption
A spokesperson for Northern said: “There is a fault with the signalling system between Blackburn and Clitheroe, all lines are blocked.
“Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or terminated at and started back from Blackburn.”
