The M6 has been closed due to a multi-vehicle crash.
Police and Highways have closed the M6 northbound this evening (November 12) between junctions 33 and 34 for Lancaster.
Any traffic trying to get from the A6 onto the motorway at junction 33 is being told they have no option but to travel south.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Good Evening, We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the M6 northbound from J33 onwards.
"Any traffic coming off the A6 at Junction 33 will have no option but to go Southbound.

"Please bare with us whilst we clear this and please find an alternative route."
A spokesperson for Highways said: "The M6 is closed northbound between J33 and J34 near Lancaster due to a multi-vehicle collision."
The severity of the crash is not yet known and it is not known if anyone is injured as a result of the incident.
