HYNDBURN Council staff have cleared an area of flytipping in Steiner Lane in Church.
Following their action on Wednesday, local ward councillors Loraine Cox and Sajid Mahmood said; "Every year around Bonfire Night flytipping happens on Steiner Lane.
"We would like to say a big thank you for all departments - waste, environment, police and the fire authority - for the combined work with this site over the last week"
Cllr Steven Smithson , Hyndburn Council's environmental services boss, said: "The land of Steiner Lane has been a fly-tipping hot spot for many years.
"Our environmental protection team at Hyndburn Council have served notice on the owner of the private land to remove the waste on their land and to secure their site.
"One of my top priorities is to tackle fly-tipping and anyone who blights our borough"
