An empty shop could be turned into a tattoo studio after plans were submitted to the council.
Christopher Bellamy has applied to Hyndburn Council to turn the ground floor of 91 Whalley Road in Accrington into a tattoo shop.
The shop is currently vacant and used to house Emmazing Gifts/Baby Love.
There has been no planning statement submitted with the application and no details of the hours of opening or the number of staff that might be employed by the studio should planning permission be granted, although it is thought the studio would operate as an appointment only business.
A note from Lancashire County Council’s Highways department reads: “The submitted documents and plans, together with the previous history of the site have been reviewed and further information is required on waste storage, employment, hours of opening and the usage of the premises eg. appointment only.”
Anyone wishing to comment on the application can do so via Hyndburn Council’s planning portal.
