Halloween is just days away and there are plenty of events and activities going on across Blackburn with Darwen.
From classic pumpkin-carving activities to budget-friendly theatre shows, there’s something for all the family that won’t leave you scared to check your back account.
Pumpkin Patch
Gather your family and head to Mrs Dowsons Farm Park for a Pumpkin Festival. The experience offers a “picture-perfect Instagramable adventure, with new characters, new autumn activities, and much more.”
Tickets costs £10.95 per child and £12.95 per adult and include one pumpkin token each, with the option buy additional pumpkins there. The event is open from 10am to 5pm until October 29.
Halloween Party
Hollins Grove Conservative Club is hosting a family Halloween Party tonight from 7pm to midnight. Tickets cost £2 per adult and £1 per child or £7 for a family of two adults and two children.
Residents are invited to join in the Halloween festivities while supporting the local club as all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the community.
Empire Theatre Halloween Show
The Halloween Spooktacular show will be on at Blackburn Empire Theatre at 1pm and 5pm tomorrow (October 29).
Families are invited to “join Tommy the Ghostbuster and all the gang as they embark on another spooktastic adventure this Halloween!”
Tickets cost £11.50 for children and £13.50 for adults.
Pumpkin Carving
Blackburn BID are hosting pumpkin carving workshops on King William Street from 10.30am to 3.30pm today. The workshops are free and encourage people of all ages to join the fun.
A team will be on hand to help with choosing the right tools, planning your design and preserving the pumpkin once it’s been carved to perfection.
Horror Classics at the Cinema
In honour of the spooky occasion, the Vue Blackburn are treating Horror fans to some of the scariest flicks in cinema for as little as £5.99.
Friday the 13th, Hocus Pocus, Saw X, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and The Exorcist are all playing on Tuesday, October 31. Whether you’re seeking nostalgic scares or new frights, a film night at the cinema is a classic and fun way to spend Halloween with friends, family, or if you’re brave enough, on your own.
