New data has revealed that Burnley Football Club fans are among the worst behaved in the UK -  but the club itself disagrees.

Get Licensed, a training course provider, used government data to see which club had the most banning orders, football-related arrests, and the most incidents at football matches to reveal the UK’s naughtiest football fans.

According to the data, Burnley FC is the fourth ‘naughtiest’ football club in the UK and the worst in Lancashire.

A spokesperson for Burnley FC said the figures are down the to club’s “no tolerance approach” to unacceptable fan behaviour.

“This is reflected in the figures.

“We continue to work alongside the authorities in eradicating the minority who are not welcome in football.”
