A man has been arrested after a spate of burglaries in Baxenden.

This is after reports of residential burglaries in the Manchester Road area.

The man is currently in custody and being spoken to by police.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “This morning a male was arrested in Accrington on suspicion of committing a number of residential burglaries in the Manchester Road area of Baxenden.

"The male was transported to custody and is being dealt with accordingly.

“We remain committed to tackling crime and bringing offender's to justice.
