Youths had to be rescued from the roof of a secondary school in Carnforth and one of them was injured.
The fire service was called at around 12.15am on Wednesday (October 25) to reports of youths on the roof of Carnforth High School.
Fire crews met with police who were already at the school.
Firefighters used a triple extension ladder to get onto the roof and assess the casualty, who was eventually brought down off the roof.
Two young people, who were uninjured, were also helped down off the roof.
Fire crews were in attendance for an hour.
A fire service spokesperson said: “At 00:15 on Wednesday, four fire engines from Carnforth, Bolton Le Sands, and Morecambe were called to an incident at Carnforth High School. The call was to reports of youths on the roof, one being injured.
“On arrival, crews were met with police who were already on scene.
“Firefighters used a triple extension ladder to gain access to the roof and assess the casualty. The ALP - Ariel Ladder Platform from Morecambe was set up to aid rescue operations by bringing the casualty off the roof.
“The two uninjured youths were assisted down the ladder by firefighters.
“They were left in the care of the North West Ambulance Service and Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour.”
Lancashire Police has been approached for information.
