The mountain rescue team was called to Accrington at the weekend after a person became injured.
The team was called by the ambulance service on Sunday evening (October 22) to assist with a casualty who had sustained a lower leg injury.
The casualty was given pain relief and a heated blanket, before being taken to the road to wait for an ambulance
A Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue spokesperson said: “The team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a casualty who had sustained a lower leg injury near Accrington.
“The team were mobilised and made their way towards the location where the ambulance crew were requesting assistance in the extraction.
“The casualty was provided with additional warming (in form of a heated blanket) and some additional pain relief from the team, before being transported into Mobile 1 (our man van with ambulance stretcher) to be conveyed back to the road and the awaiting ambulance.
“We wish the individual a speedy recovery.”
