A man is to be sentenced in December after pleading guilty to threatening someone with a knife.

Zohaib Khan, 25, of Holly Street, Nelson, also entered a guilty plea to making threats to destroy property, when he appeared via video link at Burnley Crown Court earlier this week.

The offences relate to incidents which took place on September 11 in which Khan is accused of making threats to destroy property, namely the windows of a house belonging to Nazmeen Begum, as well as threatening the same person with a bladed article in Bracewell Street in Nelson.

He pleaded guilty to both offences and was remanded into custody.

A sentence hearing will take place on December 21.
