Inspirational businesses and entrepreneurs were honoured at the second Bacup Business Association (BBA) Awards.

This year two new categories were added and a series of special recognition certificates were handed out.

Jane Pallister, from Boommm Consultancy and Training hosted the event at a packed ABD Centre.

Chair of the BBA Rachel Weinhold, from award sponsors GrowTraffic, presented the certificates as the 60-strong audience enjoyed a Bacup Pie supper.

A raffle and donations raised more than £200 for The Station, run by Bacup Family Centre and volunteers, and Leila Allen was on hand to explain the work that the new drop in is doing near the market.

Rachel said: “This year we had 99 nominations and I am grateful to everyone who attended and made our second awards such a success.

"We will be running it again next year and we will be adding more categories.
