Drivers can expect long delays on one of the busiest roads in Blackburn.
Temporary traffic lights have been installed on Montague Street off Preston New Road.
People can avoid the section by remaining on Preston New Road or taking Barbara Castle Way in the opposite direction.
According to the one.network the delays are due to underground internet cables being connected and are due to be in place until Tuesday, October 24.
There are further works on Feilden Street, opposite Blackburn Leisure Centre where a diversion is in place due to work being conducted by Cadent, the gas utility company.
