A Domino’s pizza restaurant is set to open in Longridge later this year and the team is currently recruiting staff members.
A new restaurant is set to open on Berry Lane, replacing a former hardware store called Swifts.
It is set to open in December.
Manchester-based Pegasus Planning Group submitted the plans to Ribble Valley Council on behalf of the pizza chain. The plans were approved in September.
In a statement the council said: “Ribble Valley Council hereby give notice in pursuance of the above-mentioned Regulations that consent has been granted for the display of the advertisements referred to above in accordance with the application and plans submitted to compliance with the Standard Conditions set out and to any conditions which may be detailed.”
A Domino’s spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new store in Longridge in early December, bringing our fresh, piping hot pizzas to even more loyal customers across Lancashire.
“We’re also on the lookout for brilliant people to be part of our store team. Anyone interested in driver or in-store roles should contact the recruitment team.”
The American multinational pizza restaurant chain was founded in 1960.
In September it announced that it is hiring over 5,000 roles across the UK as part of a fresh recruitment drive.
As well as on-the-job training, flexible working hours, and a fun fast-paced environment, there are also opportunities for long-term career development.
More than 90 per cent of Domino’s store managers and area managers started out as a delivery driver or pizza maker.
Employees can even go on to become franchise partners in their own right, operating their own stores through Domino’s Homegrown Heroes programme.
The initiative supports current and former Domino’s colleagues to buy and operate their own store, and since 2021 the scheme has successfully introduced six new franchise partners into the system.
