A man has been arrested after a woman was attacked in Feniscowles last weekend.
On Sunday (October 1), police received reports that a woman in her 60s had been assaulted.
The incident took place at around 3.15pm on Eskdale Crescent. The woman suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
A neighbour in the street said the woman had been walking a dog when she was assaulted.
A man in his 30s had been arrested on suspicion of wounding and has been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We were called to Eskdale Crescent in Feniscowles by the ambulance service at around 3.15pm on Sunday, October 1, to reports of an assault.
A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.
