Officers from the Ribble Valley neighbourhood policing team and rural task force came together this week for a special event to help villagers have their voices heard.
The community outreach event at Slaidburn Village Hall marked a significant effort to extend essential services to the more remote areas of the Ribble Valley.
Residents had the opportunity to engage with various agencies and voice their concerns.
The team distributed quad bike alarms as well as providing Faraday pouches to deter keyless car thefts.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue conducted fire safety checks across the area, offering valuable advice on fire prevention measures.
Sergeant Kevin Day of the Ribble Valley Rural Task Force said, “We are thrilled to have joined forces with our partner agencies to bring essential services to our rural communities. They have told us what their concerns are, and this event is just one example of us working to help tackle these issues.
“We will be looking to organise more events of this nature in the future with our partners and will keep our communities updated on any upcoming dates.”

It was held in collaboration with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Age UK, Child and Family Wellbeing Service, and the Foundation for Ribble Valley Families Services.
