Two people were taken to hospital following a fire at a house in Wilpshire.
The fire broke out at around 6.50pm on Monday (September 26).
Four fire engines from Blackburn and Hyndburn attended the domestic property, in Woodcrest, with crews using one jet, two hose reels, and sending four firefighters in breathing apparatus into the property.
Once the fire was extinguished, ventilation was used to rid the house of smoke.
It is not known whether the people taken to hospital have been seriously injured but it is believed one person was spoken to at the scene by police.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "On September 25 at 6.52pm, four fire engines from Blackburn and Hyndburn attended a domestic property fire on Woodcrest in Wilpshire.
"Firefighters used one jet, two hose reels, four breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire.
"Two people were taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews were in attendance for over three hours."
Lancashire Police have been contacted for comment but have yet to respond.
