A Nando’s restaurant in Burnley has officially opened its doors and we have some pictures.
Burnley’s first Nando’s opened on Wednesday (September 20) at the Pioneer Place leisure complex.
The new restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining options, and flavour fans will be able to order takeaway and Click and Collect to enjoy their Nando’s at home.
Nando’s champions it’s Southern African heritage throughout its restaurants and continually works with South African designers to deliver unique concepts from light fixtures to furniture and upholstery.
The new Burnley restaurant is inspired by the Savanna Woodlands in South Africa with a forest green and earthy terracotta palette.
There’s bespoke plaster on the walls that has an elephant skin effect and bark-like cork, and striking, colourful light fixtures.
Nando’s has also added to its extensive collection of contemporary Southern African art with the inclusion of a number of artworks from 15 South African artists throughout the space.
The new Nando’s site has created 40 jobs, including a few internal transfers.
Restaurant manager, Jonathan Taylor said: “We’re so excited to be firing up the grills and opening our doors at our new restaurant in Pioneer Place.
"We’re in good company with nearby REEL Cinema, and can’t wait to welcome our new customers.”
The eatery joins the new cinema which has also recently opened in Pioneer Place.
Reel Cinema opened its luxury seven screen cinema at the £23 million pound Pioneer Place, on September 8. The cinema moved from its former site in Manchester Road.
A spokesperson said it was the number one cinema across the Reel cinema circuit last weekend and the best performing films at the cinema were The Nun II, The Equalizer 3, and Jawan.
Nando’s Burnley can be found at Pioneer Place, Curzon Street, BB11 1FB, and opened on September 20, 2023, operating from 11.30am to 10pm seven days a week.
