A family wrestling event is set to return to Accrington for the second time – offering Spooktacular fun for all this Halloween.
Top Rope Wrestling Academy will be hosting its American Wrestling Spooktacular at Accrington Town Hall on Saturday, October 28, from 6pm to 9.30pm.
The event will see wrestlers take to the ring to take part in thrilling matches for all to enjoy.
Hayche Haidry, head coach and owner of Top Rope Wrestling Academy, said he is looking forward to its return.
He said: “We have done events in the past and basically this time, it is the second time that we are going back to Accrington Town Hall.
“Last time we hosted the event 200 tickets were sold but this time we are hoping for a sellout with 300 tickets being sold from all the support of people in Accrington.
“We moved to Accrington because most of our customers are from that area and this time round it is going to be a Halloween themed wrestling show.

“People can expect a coffin match, with a wrestler having to get another wrestler into a coffin; we have a pumpkin on a pole match where a wrestler has to retrieve a pumpkin from the top of a pole.
"There is a house of horrors match where there are a number of Halloween props to utilise in a match, and we are also crowning the first women’s champion in a ladder match, where we will have one of the champion belts hanging from the ceiling and both female wrestlers have to climb the ladder to retrieve the belt themselves.
“We do shows up and down the country and Accrington for me is one of our biggest ones purely because of the town hall venue itself.
“It is always nerve-wracking because people don’t always necessarily understand wrestling because they think it is going to be crazy but that’s not what we do, what we do is offer a family friendly event.
“We just want to make sure that families and children enjoy the experience.”
Prices for the event are £7 for children, £10 for general admission and £30 for family admission tickets.
