*UPDATE: The road has now reopened*

A road in Penwortham is closed after a crash.

Leyland Road, at the junctions of Marshalls Brow and New Lane, is closed after the crash, which involved a car and bus.

Police have urged motorists to find alternative driving routes.

The car driver suffered minor injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “Please be advised that due to a road traffic collision, Leyland Road Penwortham is currently closed at the junctions of Marshalls Brow and New Lane.

“Please find alternative routes at this time.”
