A dangerous driver was arrested after a police pursuit in Downham over the weekend.
On Saturday (September 2), police officers spotted a vehicle was ‘behaving suspiciously’ in Downham in the Ribble Valley.
The driver sped off and after a short chase and failing to stop for the police, he was arrested for dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.
The vehicle was seized as a result.
A spokesperson for the police said: “In the early hours of Saturday, September 2, Ribble Valley response officers noticed a vehicle behaving suspiciously in Downham.
“Clearly the driver didn't like the look of our officers and decided to leave the area.
“After a short pursuit a male was arrested for failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified. The vehicle was also seized by police as a result of the incident.
“The male was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.”
