A sex offender failed to register an online username with police as was required due to him being on the sex offender register.
Blackburn magistrates heard there was no suggestion Andrew Harper had been viewing anything illegal.
Harper, 45, of Cranbrook Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to failing to
comply with notification requirements. He was remanded on bail for the
preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client had not been in court since 2019.
"It was a subscription he intended to have for one month only but accepts he
failed to tell police his username," said Mr Taylor.
District Judge Alexandra Preston said the defendant's previous convictions
showed he breached orders left, right, and centre."
"It would have been made clear to him that if he wanted to go on a pornographic
site he had to register with the police," said District Judge Preston.
"I clearly need a pre-sentence report with all options open as far as sentencing is concerned."
