The 56-year-old played Robert Preston in Coronation Street from 2015, with his character killed off on Christmas Day 2019.
The cast of the Shone Productions Ltd panto also includes singer Tom Sentia as Aladdin and Ella Holt as Princess Jasmine.
Chloe Carrington will be performing as The Spirit Of The Ring, Mark Slowey is cast as Widow Twankey, and Ben Coles is playing Wishee Washee.
The pantomime will feature a spectacular blend of beautiful scenery, colourful costumes, a live band, international circus acts, dance routines, great songs and plenty of laughter.
Producer James Shone, said: “It’s wonderful to be producing the pantomime in Blackburn once more this festive season.
“We have such a talented cast, including some Blackburn panto favourites to present this contemporary pantomime adaptation of the well known tale.
“There is something for the whole family and I know that everyone will have an enjoyable time.”
The story follows Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee and his mother Widow Twankey as they battle against the evil Abanazar to stop his plan to become Master of The World.
Audiences will join Aladdin on a wild and magical ride as he tries to save the day and potentially fall in love with Princess Jasmine.
