This is the moment a cyclist was left with fractures after a head-on crash in Blackburn.
The incident happened at around 7.40pm on Thursday, August 31, at the Four Lane Ends junction with Pleckgate Road, Revidge Road, Shear Brow and Lammack Road, close the The Fig & The Olive restaurant.
CCTV footage from a nearby building was shared over the weekend.
Staff at the nearby restaurant were alerted to the incident as other drivers rushed to help the stricken cyclist.
It is believed the driver of the stalled vehicle was one of those who had come out to helped the injured man. Others including passers by called the emergency services who assisted the cyclist.
Another man, believed to be the driver of the car involved, from Blackburn, has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care, and driving with excess drugs.
The video shows head-on collision with a cyclist coming in the opposite direction from Revidge Road. Despite being flung into the air the cyclist is still able to move.
Lancashire police said on Friday: "We were called by the ambulance service shortly before 8pm to reports of a collision between a pedal cycle and a car on Shear Brow, Blackburn.
"The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with fractures.
"A 23-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and driving - excess drugs. He is in custody."
North West Ambulance Service confirmed one man was taken to hospital.
