Volunteers from North West mountain rescue teams are hoping to support a family caring for a child diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Members of Manchester and Liverpool HART (Hazardous Area Response Team) are aiming to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks on October 28 to support their colleague Simon Beswick, whose son was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
Contributions will assist in providing practical and wellbeing support enabling the creation of long-lasting family memories.
The target of £750 has already been passed by organisers of the GoFundMe page want to raise more.
The Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue (RPMRT) team said: “Sometimes life can be magical and sometimes so, so hard and it’s the hard times when we need to pull together, support each other and make things happen and this is one of those times.
“Those of you that follow our team closely will know we have a close relationship with Manchester Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and one our colleagues needs our support.
“Devastatingly, paramedic Simon Beswick’s son, Ryan has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
