Police have issued a warning after rogue cows were spotted roaming a busy dual carriageway.
The cows were spotted on the carriageway at Rivington Road, Belmont near The Black Dog at around 2pm today (August 26).
Police received reports of the cows on the loose and issued an update do members of the public asking to be cautious while driving.
The cows have now been removed safely however, traffic updates website, INRIX shows that traffic slowed slightly in the area.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Officers have attended reports of cows in the carriageway at Rivington Road, Belmont near The Black Dog.
“The cows are now out of the road but you are asked to be vigilant and drive carefully if you are travelling through this area.”
