Motoring enthusiasts from across the county gathered in Blackburn at the weekend for a ‘car meet’.
Cars - some tuned and modified - from across the region were lined up at the event which took place on Saturday night (August 19) at the Nova Scotia Retail Park, outside the B&Q store.
A food and drinks stall was set up next to the store to cater for attendees who had been invited to attend by a organised car meet group.
Police were on hand at the entrance to the car park for several hours but were not needed as crowds dispersed as the night went on.
The B&Q car park and the area in front of the Pound Stretcher and Pets At Home stores were taken up by a variety of cars including some classics.
The event was organised by Extreme BHP, which said it had been overwhelmed by the response.
It had to encouraged people to park in adjoining car parks due to numbers to keep people at the meet safe.
The group posted: “Once again thanks everyone for attending and behaving. Roll on the next one.”
Sarah, who was passing by, took some pictures and spoke to attendees on the day.
She said: “It looked like a lot of people at first and I did think what the hell is going on?
“But I spoke to people on the day and it was very much like the funfair at Witton Park. There were families there too.
“There was food and people were just having a good time looking at all the cars.
“There were also people selling car merchandise and stickers.”
Extreme BHP started more than 14 years ago as a local car club in the North West.
The group has more than 24,000 members on its Facebook group and more on other social media pages.
