A new takeaway on the site of the popular former eatery, Hugo Burritos, has spoken of its successful first few months in Blackburn town centre.
Opened in June, 'Logo's Flavas' is a 'Caribbean influenced real world cuisine', selling items such as burritos, burgers and hot dogs, based in Northgate.
Flava's owner, Usman Perwez, from Blackburn, said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to introduce the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean to the wonderful residents of Blackburn from our new takeaway located at 27 Northgate.
"Our menu is a joyful celebration of the diverse and rich cuisines, and I'm genuinely excited to share these dishes with the incredible people of Blackburn. The response from our neighbors has been heartwarming, and I'm deeply thankful for the support of this close-knit community. With September just around the corner and the return of the college students, I can hardly wait to witness our takeaway buzzing with activity.
"The anticipation is truly exciting, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to welcome even more guests who are yet to discover us. Together, we're crafting something truly special, and I'm honored to be an integral part of this remarkable journey of Logo’s Flavas and the community of Blackburn."
The eatery has earned good reviews from diners so far, with a 4.2 out of five rating on Google and 4.3 rating on Just Eat.
The site had previously been home to Hugo Burritos, which closed earler this year, and is based in Northgate, an area of the town centre currently undergoing significant regeneration.
Councillor Quesir Mahmood, executive member for growth and development at Blackburn with Darwen Council, welcomed the takeaway.
He said: "It’s great to see another business move into this area of the town centre, adding to the growing number of food outlets that have opened around our cultural quarter.
"It’s exciting to see our plan for this part of the town centre starting to come together and I look forward to seeing this develop further through this year and beyond."
