A lorry has crashed into a railway bridge, causing severe traffic delays.
Market Street between Church and Oswaldtwistle is backed up with traffic after a lorry crashed into the bridge close to the railway station.
A picture captured by a member of the public shows the lorry wedged under the bridge after the driver misjudged the height.
Traffic is now backing up along Market Street with people in the area advising others to avoid travelling in that direction.
It's believed the incident happened just before 10am on Monday (August 21) and one person said he heard a loud bang as the lorry crashed into the bridge.
No diversions have been put in place as of yet but the incident has had a knock-on effect with trains and buses travelling through Oswaldtwistle and Church, with some services being cancelled.
