A man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates on two charges of attempted murder following an incident in Duke Street, Colne on Friday night.
Dilnawaz Hussain is alleged to have attacked the women, who were guests in his neighbour’s home, with a wrench.
Hussain, 28, of Duke Street, Colne, is charged with the attempted murder of Lynne Ashworth and April Machin.
He was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court where he will appear on September 11.
