The Red Arrows put on a fantastic display over the weekend, flying over Clitheroe and other parts of Lancashire ahead of the Blackpool Air Show.
On Saturday (August 12), the aerial display team flew over Clitheroe Food Festival, which was attended by many people despite the wet weather.
People have since been sharing pictures of the flyover to social media and the Lancashire Telegraph’s camera club Facebook page.
The fleet of planes were spotted over Clitheroe, Pendle Hill and beyond.
Lee Mansfield took a picture of Red Arrows flying by Pendle Hill.
Sam Cook was excited to snap a picture of the Red Arrows flying in formation over Clitheroe.
Pictures have also emerged of the Red Arrows and other aerial performers at the Blackpool Air Show.
The Red Devils were formed in 1964 to boost public engagement and recruitment for the British Army.
After training with the US Armed Forces’ parachute display team, the Golden Knights, the first Red Devils team was formed.
They became the official parachute display team of the British Army in 1979.
Parachute display team, The Red Devils, also performed at the show alongside the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and RAF Typhoon across both days.
Nicola Hopkins, Ribble Valley council's director of economic development and planning, said: “The Red Arrows are one of the most celebrated aerobatic display teams in the world and a flyover by them, as the food festival gets into full swing, will be a fantastic spectacle.
“The Red Arrows last flew over Clitheroe in 2017 and we are honoured that they have chosen to fly over our town again.”
