Thwaites tower and Larkhill flats, 1995
SNOW was lying on the ground when this photo of the Blackburn skyline was taken in January 1995.
The town may not be associated with skyscapes but this unusual photo shows the tower of Thwaites brewery with the three tower blocks of Larkhill flats behind.
It’s likely that the picture was taken either from the roof of the Lancashire Telegraph building or the rooftop car park of the next door Morrison’s store.
The Thwaites tower was demolished in 2018.
