A horror event is set to return to the abandoned Camelot theme park site - promising more blood, scares and gore than ever before.

Scare City started out as a drive-in cinema in 2020, and is now a walk-through horror attraction based in the abandoned Camelot Theme Park in Chorley.

This year’s event is set to feature 10 terrifying zones, including four new indoor mazes.

Visitors are told to expect hordes of live actors, horrifyingly realistic set designs, and more than a few things going ‘bump’ in the night.

Lancashire Telegraph:

With details of zones being revealed, attendees are getting a glimpse at what they can expect for the fourth year of Scare City.

Sets include derelict hospitals, cannibal butchers, eerie cults, and a serial killer’s dumping ground.

There are a few familiar faces making an appearance, including the corrupt cast of The Moregrave Brother’s circus with a rogue’s gallery of the grim and grotesque.

Visitors will find a feast of food and beverage vendors at the halfway mark, known as Swizzels Resurrection Zone.

Sponsored by renowned sweets brand Swizzels, visitors will be able to fuel up for the second half of the extravaganza.

The first night of scares kicks off on Friday, September 29, with events running until early November.

Tickets are already selling out for the ultimate Halloween season spectacular.
