A road closure has been in place overnight after a crash left an 18-year-old with serious injuries.
Police were called to Dunkirk Lane in Leyland at around 12.40pm yesterday (August 7), after a crash between an e-bike and a Nissan X trail.
Emergency services are still at the scene of the road closure from the junction of School Road to Schleswig Way.
Police say they anticipate the road will be closed for some time and are advising drivers to find alternative routes.
The teenager from Leyland was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The Nissan driver was unhurt.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We are currently at the scene of a road closure on Dunkirk Lane, from the junction of School Road to Schleswig Way.
“The road is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.
“Please find alternative routes and avoid the area if possible.”
