A group of dedicated walkers raising money for their mosque were welcomed back to Blackburn with garlands.
Fifty volunteers from 'Team Buraq' took on a gruelling walk to Mount Snowdon and arrived back in Blackburn to huge cheers and fireworks.
Friends and family had gathered at the Roomali - At The Woodlands Restaurant, on Preston New Road, to meet the group.
The team have been raising thousands for the new Islamic Education Centre just off Davenport Road in the town. They are hoping to raise the final amount in the coming year before the mosque finally opens. All the money to build the mosque has been raised by donations and through fundraising efforts such as this.
Over the past few years, the group has taken part in a series of sponsored walks and cycles and the effort to build the mosque has been an inspiring community effort which has involved people of all ages and backgrounds.

One of the youngest volunteers was Ibrahim Tabassam, 18, who had raised £6,265. In total more than £60,000 was pledged to fundraisers, on this, their most recent challenge.
Tabassam Zabier who took part in the trek and has been helping to manage the fundraising alongside volunteers said the team were delighted again.
He said: “It is not easy asking people to take part in sponsored walks and challenges but we are inspired by how people are coming to help our cause over and over again.
“These fundraising efforts have brought people together and it was a wonderful to see people giving up their free time to help again.”
Organisers wished to thank the Romali restaurant for hosting the evening at a very shortly notice and Zahid and Shaid the owners of S-line Travel for providing the coaches for free.
Teeam Buraq was formed three years to help lead the fundraising.
Tabassam who was one of the co-founders of the group said: "We are still fundraising and still behind our eventual target and we will keep going.
"But it has been a great achievement all involved and eveyone who is part of Team Buraq deserves huge credit for their efforts."
The new Islamic Education Centre, which was established in the eighties will replace the old mosque which is too small for the people living in the area. The centre will include a funeral area as well as modern classrooms for children.
