A body has been found in the search for a missing Accrington woman.
Today (August 4) police said they found a body in Baxenden and confirmed that it was missing 66-year-old Helen Baron.
There were reports of police "flooding" the street where Helen's body was found.
Helen’s family have been informed. Her death is not being treated as suspicion.
Police have thanked anyone who supported their missing person appeal.
A police spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, we've got some sad news to share with you.
Our officers, who were searching for missing Helen Baron from Accrington, have found her body in Baxenden.
“Helen’s family have been informed of the development and our thoughts are with them at this distressing time.
“Helen’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to HM Coroner in due course.
“Thank you to everybody who shared and supported our appeal.”
