This great old photograph show what Feniscowles was like possibly more than 100 years ago.

We don’t have a date when it was taken but looking at the clothes of the people in the picture it could well be before the First World War.

We think this might show Preston Old Road looking towards the Feildens Arms although we stand to be corrected.

It also looks as though there had been strong winds before it was taken as the road appears to be littered with branches and leaves. It’s difficult to see but the woman and young girl nearest the camera look as though they are walking with a policeman.
