A production company is looking for actors to play roles in a forthcoming crime drama film set in the Ribble Valley.
Filmmaker Martin Law wants his feature film to be made up of a Northern cast for his film set in the scenic Ribble Valley.
The Lancashire-based production company Factory Noir is holding the casting call for the low budget feature movie.
'Reputation' is a psychological crime drama set in the fictional Northern town of Dennings.
With the script described as "raw, violent and darkly comic", this will be the feature film debut of the Preston-based filmmaker, set for production later in 2023.
Martin is looking for local people to star in the film, with no acting experience necessary.
Speaking on why he wants Northern actors, he said: "I want this film to be as authentic as possible. There have been so many examples of northern characters in films or TV shows portrayed by middle class actors from London.
“Not many feature films are made in Lancashire, full stop. So I'm looking for Lancashire actors for this project.
“I believe that undiscovered talent is out there too, so I encourage anyone who might be interested to get in touch."
Filming dates are to be confirmed.
