Police descended on a Booths supermarket in Fulwood on Thursday (July 27) to reports that a man was on the roof.
Police were called to the concern for safety report, at the Sharoe Green Lane supermarket, at around 5.26pm.
Several police cars were seen in the area and there were also reports of a police helicopter.
Officers in attendance found that a man was on the roof of the building.
The man, aged in his 20s, spent more than three hours on the roof before coming down to safety. He was take to hospital where he was treated for a leg injury.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.26pm yesterday to Booths supermarket, Sharoe Green Lane, Fulwood, Preston, to a report of a concern for safety.
“Officers attended and found that a man was on the roof of the building.
“The man, aged in his 20s, came down safely from the roof at 8.27pm and was taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury.”
