Police are investigating after a car was abandoned on the side of the road, after a crash in Samlesbury.
Officers were called to Preston New Road on Sunday.
Lancs Road Police shared a picture of a car that has been smashed and abandoned on the side of the road.
Occupants of the vehicle fled so police have recovered the vehicle for a forensic examination.
The road was closed for a short time while police conducted their investigation.
Anyone with information has been asked to come forward.
A police spokesperson said: “Vehicle involved in road traffic collision on Preston New Road in Samlesbury.
“Occupant/s fled so vehicle recovered for forensic exam. Road closed for short period to drag it out.
“Witnesses please call 101 and quote log LC-20230723-1228.”
