The fire service has rescued people from their vehicles, after heavy rain and flooding left them stranded.
Fire engines rescued five people on Sunday, in Fulwood and Cuerden, who became stuck in flooded vehicles.
The first call came at around 9.22am and two fire engines from Fulwood and Penwortham were called to Black Bull Lane in Fulwood.
Four people were trapped in a flooded vehicle. Fire crews were in attendance for around an hour and all occupants were freed.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Two fire engines from Fulwood and Penwortham attended a flooding incident on Black Bull Lane, Fulwood.
“Four people were trapped in a flooded vehicle. All occupants were freed by firefighters and the vehicle was left with police for recovery.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
The fire service were also called to on Nell lane in Cuerden at around 3.56pm.
One person was recued from a flooded vehicle and fire crews were in attendance for around 25 minutes.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Two fire engines from Bamber Bridge and Darwen attended a flood rescue on Nell lane, Cuerden, Leyland.
“Firefighters released one person from a vehicle trapped in flood water.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately 25 minutes.”
