A road has been closed after it became impassable due to a river bursting its banks.
Police have closed the road between Stopes Brow and Sandy Lane in Lower Darwen due to the flooding.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
A police spokesperson said: "We are at the scene of a road closure on Stopes Brow and Sandy Lane, Lower Darwen.
"Roman Road is also been closed from the roundabout to Stopes Brow.
"The roads are closed due to the River Weir's banks bursting.
"Please avoid the area as the roads are impassible."
