A popular family-run ice cream business in a Lancashire town has been named as one of the best parlours in the UK.
Whether it's in a cone, tub, or partnered with a hot dessert, you can never go wrong with a good ice cream.
In honour of National Ice Cream Day which took place on Sunday (July 16), Betway piled up the best spots to indulge yourself in the frozen treat this summer with a Blackpool business claiming a spot in the top five.
Notarianni Ices in Blackpool has been serving holiday makers and locals for almost a century, spanning four generations of the family.
Coming in fifth on the list, alongside Jack’s Gelato in Cambridge and Mar’s Milky Bar in Edinburgh, the owners of the popular parlour were thrilled with their ranking.
Reacting to the reveal on Facebook, a spokesperson for Notarianni Ices said: “Delighted to be nominated in the top five ice cream parlours in the UK None of this is possible without our amazing team, suppliers and of course our incredible customers.”
Luigi Notarianni opened the doors to the beloved ice cream business in 1928 and has seen customers flock to the promenade for the iconic vanilla ice cream or milkshakes every season.
The website states their ice-cream is made fresh every day to the same secret recipe that has been passed down through four generations of their family using fresh locally sourced dairy products.
Notarianni Ices was recently featured on ITV This Morning show last month and was even paid a visit by British singer and songwriter Gabrielle before performing at this year’s Lytham Festival.
Located in Waterloo Road, Blackpool, the business is open every day from 12pm to 8pm until the end of the summer season.
