A youth charity in Blackburn will receive £7,000 after an annual golf day raised a record amount of money.
The annual Trevor Dawson charity golf day returned for 2023 raising money for the Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, which helps young people in the area change their lives.
A total of 21 teams enjoyed uninterrupted sunshine at Clitheroe Golf Club and the overall winners were K2 Storage Solutions, with 94 points following a card play-off with Thwaites.
Third place was taken by Handelsbanken.
Following the golf, teams enjoyed drinks on the patio followed by dinner, a prize presentation, and a raffle.
There it was announced a massive £7,000 was raised for the Youth Zone.
Wayne Wild, trustee on Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, said: “We appreciate Trevor Dawson raising funds on an annual basis for Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, and grateful for all the businesses who contributed to raising an incredible £7,000.
